# DELETE /api/v2/subscription-products/{subscription_product}

Delete a subscription product

- MCP id: subscription-products.destroy
- Scope: api:destroy:subscription_products
- Permission: subscription_products::delete
- Needs the billing feature on your organisation
- Rate cost: 1 unit, write bucket.
- Cache-Control: private, no-store

Soft-deletes a product: it is only marked deleted, and POST `subscription-products/{subscription_product}/actions/restore` reverses it.

There is no permanent delete. Subscription lines and subscription-type lines that point at this product through `subscribable` are not deleted and not cleared, so those lines keep referencing a product that has become invisible to the catalogue, and a deleted hosting product stops reading as a hosting product in plnnrly until it is restored. Deleting a product does not release its name: deleted products count towards uniqueness.

## Parameters
- subscription_product (integer, path): The SubscriptionProduct's numeric id. Accepts a soft-deleted record.
- X-Request-Id (header, optional): A correlation id of your own. It is recorded in our logs next to the server's request id but never returned: the response header always carries the server's id. A value that does not match the pattern is discarded silently, never rejected.
- If-Match (header, optional): The ETag a write is conditional on. A stale validator is 412 precondition-failed.
