Connecting and signing in
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
"The MCP server is not enabled for this organisation." (404) | MCP is off for your organisation. New organisations start with MCP off. Switching the REST API off turns MCP off too. | Ask an administrator to switch it on; see For administrators. |
"OAuth is not available for this organisation." (404) during sign-in | The REST API is off, so no app can sign in. | Ask an administrator; see For administrators. |
The client cannot find the server, or the sign-in page shows 404 | The server URL is wrong, or MCP is off. | Copy the server URL from the AI panel (the sparkles icon in the top bar). If the panel is missing, MCP is off. |
The client reports invalid_redirect_uri | The client cannot sign in to plnnrly yet. | See Other clients. |
| "Your role does not allow connecting apps to the REST API." | The app also asked for REST API access, and your role lacks Manage API tokens. | Ask an administrator for the permission, or use a client that asks only for MCP. |
The sign-in is refused (403) while you work in a support session | Support sessions cannot connect apps. | Sign in as yourself. |
"This organization's access has been suspended." (503) | Your organisation is suspended. | Contact your administrator. |
"This organization is currently unavailable." (503) | Your organisation is being set up, or is archived. | Contact your administrator or plnnrly support. |
| The client asks you to sign in again | It was not used for 30 days, or someone disconnected it. | Sign in again. |
Using the tools
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
"Too Many Attempts." (429) | You sent more than 60 MCP requests in a minute, counted across all the AI clients you connected. | Wait a minute, then ask for less at once. |
The answer has meta.mcp_truncated | The answer went over the limit of about 30,000 characters and was shortened. | Ask for fewer rows, a narrower question, or one field. See Responses. |
A delete is refused with forbidden-by-policy and "This organisation does not allow AI clients to delete data." | Allow destructive actions is off for your organisation. | See Permissions and safety. Only an administrator can switch it on. |
A change is refused with forbidden-by-policy and another message | Your role, or the record itself, does not allow this change. The message says why. | Check in plnnrly whether you can make the change yourself. |
A delete or overwrite is refused with validation-failed on confirm | You have not confirmed it yet. | Tell the assistant that you agree, so it repeats the call with your confirmation. |
An upload is refused with endpoint-not-found | Files cannot be uploaded over MCP. | Use the REST API with an API token; see Files: upload and download. |
A record you know exists answers 404 | You may not see it, or it belongs to an area your organisation does not use. | Check in plnnrly whether you can open it. The assistant sees exactly what you see. |
| The app is still listed under Connected apps after you removed it in the client | Its sign-in stays valid for up to 30 days after its last use. | Click Disconnect in the AI panel. |
