Both are checked, scope first. A token never does more than its user. How access is checked
A body is visible exactly when the item it belongs to is: only the bodies of drive items you can read are listed, so this collection can be read across the whole organisation without leaking a document the caller cannot open. Narrow it to one item, or to a list of them, with filter[drive_item_id]. The body itself is not in the default summary view: content is detail-only, so pass ?view=detail to get it, which costs 3 read units. Bodies served here may lag slightly behind a document that is being edited live, because the collection does not collect unsaved edits from the live editing session; GET /api/v2/drive-documents/{drive_document} does. total is omitted unless you pass with_total=1. There is no q on this resource and no soft delete, so neither q nor trashed is an accepted parameter. The declared permission is project_drive::access; customer_drive, organization_drive and user_drive apply by the owning item's owner type, and a token covering any of the four is accepted.

The drive item whose body you want. Accepts a list, so a client that listed drive items can fetch all their bodies in one call.
A comma-separated list of at most 100 values.
Sorting
| Key | Sorts by |
|---|---|
id | Id, ascending. An id never changes, so use this for a stable full export. |
updated_at | Last-write timestamp; pair with the id tiebreaker for sync. |
Prefix a key with - for descending.

content_html | The document body as sanitised HTML instead of Markdown. Ask for it when the document may contain colours, highlights, alignment or @mentions, which the Markdown content field cannot represent. | +1 |
Request headers
A correlation id of your own. It is recorded in our logs next to the server's request id but never returned: the response header always carries the server's id. A value that does not match the pattern is discarded silently, never rejected.
Response 200
Returns a page of DriveDocumentList rows.
The rows, each a DriveDocumentList.
per_page, next_cursor, prev_cursor, total.
self, next, prev.
Each row is a DriveDocumentList: 6 fields.
Headers
ETag- A weak validator (
W/"…") of the rendered page. RateLimit- The IETF
httpapi-ratelimit-headersform of your remaining allowance on the tightest bucket this request touched. RateLimit-Policy- The ceiling and window of that bucket, as
<limit>;w=<seconds>. X-Request-Id- The server-generated ULID correlating this response with our logs.
Every response also carries Cache-Control, Vary, X-Content-Type-Options, X-Plnnrly-Api-Version, X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, X-RateLimit-Reset. Headers and versioning
Id of the document body, not of the drive item it belongs to. The two are numbered separately.
The drive item this body belongs to. Set on create and immutable afterwards; read the item itself from GET /api/v2/drive-items/{drive_item}.
The document body as GitHub-Flavored Markdown: headings, lists, task lists (- [ ]), tables, code fences, links and images all survive. Detail-only: pass ?view=detail to get it on the collection. Markdown cannot express text colours, highlights, alignment or @mentions, so read ?include=content_html first if the document may contain them: a read of content followed by a PATCH of it discards all four permanently.
Last-write timestamp; use for incremental sync. Typing in the collaborative editor moves this, not the drive item's own updated_at.
