If-Match. Never cached:private, no-store. Unknown query parameters are refused, never ignored.
Both are checked, scope first. A token never does more than its user. How access is checked
This resource is hard-delete: there is no restore action, no force parameter, no trashed parameter and no deletion signal for a sync client, so a client tracking hours learns of a deletion only by the row's absence. Deleting another user's entry additionally requires times::delete_others; note it is delete_others here and update_others on PATCH. Either permission makes colleagues' entries visible, so a caller holding only update_others sees a colleague's entry and gets 403 forbidden-by-policy here. An entry awaiting review answers 409 locked_by_review to anyone but its author or a reviewer, and an invoiced entry answers 409 locked_by_invoice: invoiced hours can never be deleted, because the worklog would then diverge from what the customer was billed.

Request headers
A correlation id of your own. It is recorded in our logs next to the server's request id but never returned: the response header always carries the server's id. A value that does not match the pattern is discarded silently, never rejected.
